"Shakti practice started when she was 15 years old, her mother was a yoga teacher having her exposing to yoga life since birth. Continuing on and off. She started a career as a Holistic Spa Therapist, training in massage, reflexology, aromatherapy and training as a skin specialist for Dermalogica. In her career as a spa therapist she studied about Ayurveda and fell in love with Indian culture.
When she moved to NYC in 2004 she decided to follow her heart doing her first 200hrs Ishta ( ashtanga, hatha and vinyasa ) Yoga teacher training in 2005 at Be Yoga with Alan Finger. Due to her language barrier still she decided to not teach but took the training to deepen her practice.
